Tim McAmis Performance Parts To Sponsor Low Qualifier Bonus In X-DRL’s Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman Class

After earlier announcing its full support of the new X-treme Drag League (X-DRL) in 2013, Tim McAmis Performance Parts (TMPP) has released an exciting incentive for the X-DRL’s Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class.

TMPP announced on Thursday that it will offer a $500 Low Qualifier bonus in the Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class for each of the nine 2013 X-DRL events. In addition to the cash prize, the No. 1 qualifier in the class at every race will also receive a Low Qualifier plaque.

“We have always been a supporter of Top Sportsman racing and we are excited to offer a Low Qualifier bonus for the class in the X-DRL during the 2013 season,” TMPP Owner Tim McAmis said. “We believe it will lead to some remarkable racing in a class that has always provided great entertainment.

“The Top Sportsman class has also proven to be a great place for our customers to race and showcase their talents, and we are really looking forward to seeing the excitement the drivers in the class will provide during the 2013 X-DRL season.”

The Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class has proven to be a popular category for full-bodied cars and the Top Sportsman class has always generated strong interest in the sport thanks to large participation and outstanding side-by-side action. With strong support from the likes of TMPP, there is heavy anticipation surrounding the standout racing the Top Sportsman class will provide in the X-DRL during its 2013 season, which begins April 6-7 with the X-DRL Spring Nationals at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park.

We’ve already had a huge amount of interest in the Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class and having that $500 for the Low Qualifier definitely adds an exciting incentive for all of the talented racers,” X-DRL Account Executive Keith Goolsby said.

TMPP previously announced its full support of the X-DRL and its inaugural 2013 campaign. In addition to sponsorship and the Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman Low Qualifier, the popular TMPP trackside support transporter will be in attendance at each of the X-DRL’s nine races, offering assistance with fabrication, repairs, extra parts and a multitude of other items. The trailer contains an extensive line of products and the TMPP staff will be on hand to offer racers assistance in a variety of ways during each race weekend.

The X-DRL will feature racing in nine professional, action-packed classes (Pro X-treme, Pro Nitrous, Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Stock, X-treme Pro Mod, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Junior Dragster and the Supercar Showdown), and its nine races will include stops at many of the nation’s top facilities, including zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis and historic Bristol Dragway.
